Experimental film for RSA - update 2

I finally got to start editing! Because the university building I'm doing the editing in was closed over the holiday period I only got to start editing now which is not ideal as we have to have it done by the 12th, but we also have an essay to hand in on the 10th which is currently taking most of my time.

Still I edited all the individual 9 videos of each of the three characters doing their own activity but also the other two activities as well. Because I am going onto the experimental route (well we all are) I decided to first make the 9 videos separately and then import them into Final Cut as 9 files that I will play around with. This is so much easier because when I filmed the short activities I didn't film them continuously so they require editing as well. So now I have 9 short videos that I can play around with. I think at this stage it is pointless to upload all 9 videos on vimeo plus it might give away my intentions! Instead I took print screens of each of them just to show a glimpse of what will be coming! I will be explaining in more detail experimental techniques I used when planning and shooting the videos. One is obvious even from the pictures, more specifically from the playing pool ones where I used the same 'extra' character in all three videos to show repetition.

So a little refresher, the three actions that we chose were: playing a video game, getting ready to go out and playing pool in the pub.

Video Game:

Getting ready to go out

Playing pool
